What To Wear? - A Hypothetical Work Week

Monday, the beginning of a new week, and a day that can be summarized in 3 “C’s”; coffee, comfy-chic and crazy busy. It’s a day filled with meetings and planning, so we need to bring our A game, even though we can’t help but still have some of that weekend laziness left in us. So to balance it out we go for some tailored, but comfy, pants with a polo tucked in at the waist and some comfortable but stylish boots. Comfortable but chic, and we are ready for a new week.

Ok, we are officially into the work week, so for Tuesday we are stepping it up and bringing some serious fashion game. Heels, check! Leather pencil skirt, check! Big bling, check! Making sure we look fabulous while we catch up on the latest fashion news and trends on our way to work.

Wednesday we have a meeting, so we need to dress to impress. Luckily we work at a place with not too strict dress code, so we are lacing up our red heels (that match the pedicure we got last night) but balance the shoes out with some black jeans and a strict white shirt, and top it off with a red blazer matching the shoes. Finishing it off with pair of glasses, to really show that we mean business.

Already when we wake up we know that Thursday will be crazy busy. Two deadlines and a bunch of busy-work; we will definitely be working late. So to make it easier on us we go for some fake leather leggings (looks authentic but are super comfortable), pull on a grey sweater over our jeans shirt and give our feet a break by leaving the heels at home and instead go for a pair of sleek flats.

TGIF! Finally Friday! After work we will head out for some well-deserved dinner and drinks with the girls, so we go for a knee long leather dress and pair it with a pair of medium high heels and top it off with a black blazer; to keep it office appropriate, but just by removing the blazer we will be ready for a fun Friday night. Also making sure to put some extra makeup in our bag to apply right before we leave the office. Red lips and champagne, oh yes!

Ugh, that nasty hangover! Probably should have stopped after drink number 5… Anyway, day off! And we would probably stay home all day and nurse that hangover if we hadn't promised the girls to meet them for brunch and some lazy shopping. And now we are running late and don't have time for a proper shower. So to make the best of the situation we pull on some comfortable leggings and an oversize knit sweater, and since our feet are practically aching from last night we go for some comfortable boots. And to hide our messy hair and tired eyes we go undercover with a beanie and some sunglasses. Unfortunately our coat smells like club and smoke, so we grab our leather jacket but wrap a thick scarf around our neck in case it gets cold – you can never trust spring weather.
Oh, and when our stomach stops turning we are in desperate need of a coffee!

It is Sunday, which means we will walk around in our pajamas for a great amount of the day and take care of the things we hadn't time for this week, like laundry and cleaning. But when that's done it is time to repent for Friday night, with an intense workout at the gym. Downloading some new music and filling up with a lot of water, it is time to get our sweat on and burn off some of those sweet cocktails. So when the day is over we are back to business and ready for a new and intense work week.
